This is going to help with parking in tight spaces, passing and changing lanes on multiple-lane highways. This is what our mirror looks like when it's installed. Mirror's going to give you full adjustability, side to side, up and down. It'll also rotate to give you a wider field of view, and will extend out 17-and-a-half inches. The bar itself is going to be made out of a sturdy steel construction. The mirror housing is going to be made out of a durable plastic. It's going to hold up to multiple weather conditions. These are going to be universal-fit mirrors, so if you have multiple vehicles that you may tow with, these can be interchanged between those mirrors. more

Today we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Longview Custom Towing Mirrors. These are a slip on design for the driver and passenger side. Part number is LVT-1800. Now let's take a look at that field of view increase that we'll get from our towing mirrors. Right now I'm about 16, 20 feet behind our truck and as I start stepping over it's not a wonder to see that we're staying in that factory mirror. It's when we get over to this point where we really need that extra field of view when we're maneuvering that we start to lose it and that's where our towing mirror's really going to take over. As you can see it extends our field of view way out here to where we can see the corners of trailer, anything around us, and really help us navigate. Here's what the mirrors are going to look like installed on the vehicle. more

Longview Custom Towing Mirrors Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video

Longview Custom Towing Mirrors Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Today, on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we'll be installing a Longview custom towing mirror, part number LVT-1800. This is a set of custom towing mirrors that will slip on over your manufacturer equipment mirrors. Standing at the back of the truck, viewing the reflection from the mirror, through the manufacturer's mirror seeing behind the vehicle is easy. However, if we have a longer towing product or wider, using our long view mirror, much easier to see the product so we can safely navigate the road. Let's go ahead and take a look at the passenger side, which we've already installed. As you can see, the mirror slips on, gripping the outer edge of the original mirror but won't hinder the operation, whether manual or power of the manufacturer's mirror. Here, at our extension, we have a manual mirror that we can move up, down, in, or out as necessary to view our towing product. Securing our mirror here to the manufacturer's mirror, we have the hand knob on the back side that holds the hook that grips the front edge, therefore preventing the mirror from coming off, holding it nice and tightly so it won't shift and move around on bumpy roads or highway speeds. Additionally, since we're adding width to our vehicle, it won't interfere with being able to fold it in for those tight parking situations. Now, let's go ahead and show you how to install it on the driver's side. more
